A missing 14-year-old and her 3-week-old newborn have been found days after reportedly disappearing in Los Angeles, authorities said.
Amoria Brown and her daughter, Omoria Brown, who has a heart condition and requires daily medication, first went missing on Aug. 25 around 10 p.m. local time in the East L.A. area, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to the police, Amoria and her daughter, along with Amoria’s 15-year-old sister-in-law, Sanaii Brown, were believed to be heading to the “high desert area with family.”
Sanaii later reunited with her relatives, NBC News reported on Tuesday, Aug. 27. But that same day, police released an Ebony Alert for Amoria and her daughter.
On Thursday, Aug. 29, the California Highway Patrol announced that the Ebony Alert had been canceled, according to local TV stations KNBC and KABC.
“This Ebony Alert has been deactivated. The subjects have been located,” the cancelation stated, per KABC.
