ARLINGTON COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — The Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) said officers are investigating a robbery after suspects entered a business and deployed a fire extinguisher on Sunday afternoon at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City.
According to ACPD, police were dispatched to the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street shortly after 3:30 p.m. for the report of shots heard.
Upon investigating, police learned that there was no shooting, but that three suspects entered a business, broke a glass display case with hammers and set off a fire extinguisher.
The suspects, described as three juvenile boys wearing all black clothing, then fled on foot, according to the ACPD.
No injuries are reported at this time. People who were inside the mall self-evacuated; however, it remains open.
The investigation is ongoing, and police remain at the scene.
