James White’s company Right Time Recruitment has gone into liquidation.

The Apprentice winner, 33, received a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar as he emerged victorious from the hit BBC series in 2017.

But seven years on, the company, the recruitment company owes £10,000 to HMRC among other creditors, according to The Sun.

Lord Sugar pulled out of the business in 2020, and it is believed that the firm owes Lloyds Bank more than £52,500 and a secretarial company more than £33,000.

The company’s Statement of Affairs claimed that there is likely to be a ‘total deficiency’ of £199,763.71.

According to the outlet, James has now appointed a liquidator to close Right Time.

The recruitment firm specialised in the IT and consultancy industries and, following the departure of Lord Sugar as shareholder, James became the sole owner of the firm.

In May, Companies House issued a strike-off order to the company, which used to boast offices in London, Birmingham and Chicago.

James – who won the 13th series of the hit BBC show – set up tax consultancy business Mileage Reclaim Limited four years ago, and that is owed £100,000 from his recruitment firm.

During his time competing on the series, James infamously had a fling with co-star and she split from her boyfriend at the time.

Jade and James split just a year after the series finished but immediately after their time on the show ended, she claimed that their friendship had grown into something more.

She wrote’ As the weeks progressed, the different friendship groups became clearer and it was apparent that James and I had a lot in common.

She added: ‘We were both competitive, into our fitness and I think we just had a genuine connection and felt that we could rely on each other in the house.

‘We used to go outside and play bat and ball and stay up talking about how the world has no limits.

‘It was inspiring to be around someone else who had as much ambition and vision in life as I do.’

She later slammed her former flame for letting an 18-stone stripper perform in his office – and says it was because of his obsession with The Wolf of Wall Street.
