Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio stripped down for the cover of Vogue Portugal‘s June issue dubbed ‘From Portugal With Love.’
The runway maven, 43, and acclaimed photographer Élio Nogueira worked together to capture Portugal’s ‘rich essence and culture’ by shooting at The Azores, a stunning archipelago in the mid-Atlantic.
With a waterfall flowing down from behind her, Ambrosio smoldered for the cameras while sitting fully nude on a small rock submerged in crystal clear water.
To protect her modesty, the mother-of-two posed with her legs crossed and her knees pulled towards her chest.
Ambrosio excitedly shared the striking cover, which hits newsstands this week, and BTS footage with her 12million Instagram followers on Wednesday.
She recalled shooting by the waterfall and how the experience was pure ‘magic.’

‘My last shot with @elionogueiraofficial was at this breathtaking waterfall, where magic unfolded,’ the former Victoria’s Secret Angel wrote.
She continued: ‘As the sun broke through the clouds, I surrendered to the allure of the pristine waters, immersing myself in nature’s splendor.
‘Little did I know, our serendipitous moment would become the cover for @vogueportugal – a testament to the beauty and raw power of the natural world. #acores,’ Ambrosio added.
‘The new issue, From Portugal with Love, is a true love letter from Portugal to the world, capturing a small part of our rich essence and culture,’ Vogue Portugal Editor in Chief Sofia Lucas said of the new campaign.
‘It’s impossible to get to know Portugal just by looking at it because you feel it above all with your heart. And those who know it know that it’s impossible to leave without feeling nostalgia… the taste of the sea, the smell of the sun and the warmth of our embrace,’ Lucas concluded.
The Azores (officially known as Autonomous Region of the Azores), one of the two autonomous regions of Portugal, is an archipelago composed of nine volcanic islands in the Macaronesia region of the North Atlantic Ocean, about 870 miles (1,400 km) west of Lisbon, Portugal.
The islands are characterized by dramatic landscapes, fishing villages, green pastures and hedgerows of blue hydrangeas.

While the cover photo captures the beauty of the waterfall, the other photos shared on her Instagram Story give a fuller view of Mother Nature’s magnificence as the water continually falls down into the pool.
There’s also a look up high into the rocks to the source of where the water is coming from, as well as some of the vegetation all around the area.
Extending more than 370 miles (600 km), there are nine major Azorean islands and an islet cluster, in three main groups, consisting of Flores and Corvo, to the west; Graciosa, Terceira, São Jorge, Pico, and Faial in the center; and São Miguel, Santa Maria, and the Formigas islets to the east, according to Wikipedia.
All of the islands have volcanic origins although some, such as Santa Maria, have had no recorded activity in the time since the islands were settled several centuries ago.
