Britney Spears revealed her ‘hope’ for her relationship with her once estranged sons as she wished her youngest Jayden James Federline a happy 20th birthday.
The pop star, 44, shares Jayden James, as well as 20-year-old son Sean Preston, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, 48.
Spears met her ex in 2004, tied the knot just later that year before calling it quits and filing for divorce two years later.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Spears penned a gushing tribute to her son as she expressed her desire to be the ‘best mommy in the world’ to her two boys.
She included a candid present day photo of Jayden James speaking on stage at an event as well as an adorable throwback childhood snap.
‘Happy birthday to my handsome young boy,’ Spears began in the caption. ‘Oh dear lord we have this beautiful thing called life in front of us, it’s such a beautiful delicate thing.’
She added: ‘I hope I can be the best mommy in the world every day of ur life!!!!’

Jayden James’ September 11 birthday comes just a few days before Spears’ eldest Sean Preston is set to turn 21 on Monday, September 14.
Spears has worked hard to reconnect with her sons following the end of her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021.
Earlier this year, Sean Preston notably began using his famous mom’s last name on social media, and not his father’s, according to TMZ, who reported that he is now going by ‘Sean P Spears’ on Instagram.
He had previously simply gone by Sean Preston before the change on social media.
Both of Spears’ children relocated to Hawaii with their father back in 2023, but Federline shared in his memoir You Thought You Knew, which dropped last year, that Jayden had moved back to Los Angeles to ‘chase his music dreams.’ according to E! News.
Federline described his youngest son as ‘brimming with creative energy’ before revealing what it’s been like to watch both his and Spears’ boys grow up.
‘Watching both of them grow into themselves has filled me with pride. We’ve done everything we could to prepare them for life, and I know they’re ready,’ he wrote.
Since their reconciliation following a years-long estrangement, Spears has shared both videos and photos of herself with her boys on social media in recent months.

However, things took a dramatic turn in Spears’ life in March when she was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
She later pleaded guilty at her arraignment and was sentenced to 12 months of probation.
Jayden James and Sean Preston reportedly staged an intervention for Spears following the concerning incident, which prompted her to check into rehab.
‘The boys started to get involved. They’re the only ones she listens to, and they were so loving, so kind, but also so firm. This was non-negotiable to them,’ a source previously told the Daily Mail.
Spears later called her DUI drama a ‘blessing in disguise’ and reflected on her ‘spiritual journey’ in an Instagram post uploaded last month.
