Sydney Sweeney knows how to keep the internet’s attention, and it isn’t necessarily due to her acting talent.
The 28-year-old is most popularly known for playing an insecure high schooler named Cassie Howard in the TV series “Euphoria.”
But people were more impressed by her leaving-little-to-the-imagination scenes than her overall acting.

From there, she became an entrepreneur. She monetized the buzz around her sizable bosom and launched a lingerie line called SYRN in 2025.
Now she’s using her provocative image for another business opportunity.

On Sept. 9, the sports betting platform Novig dropped a scroll-stopping commercial starring a clothes-less Sweeney, and once again the internet is on fire.
At the top of the clip, Sweeney holds two footballs up against her bare bosom, giving her already hefty chest the push-up effect.
“Think you know sports? Prove it. Novig is just sports,” she says in a low, flirty tone.
The video cuts to another jaw-dropping shot of Sweeney sitting on top of a basketball hoop, wearing no clothes.
“So they wanted to show just sports,” she said, as she twirled the basketball on one finger.
Her signature blond hair was positioned strategically to cover each part of her chest, while she sat with her legs open, the basketball hoop between them.
In the next shot, she wore nothing but football shoulder pads and held a football right over her crotch.
“You can trade this sport,” she said while looking down at the football.
“And this sport,” she continued while playing tennis topless.
The video continues with Sweeney wearing various uniforms for sports like hockey, soccer and golf in an alluring fashion.
On a pool table, she says, “you can’t trade this, I just look good here.”
Sharing the rules of Novig she said, “No betting on wars, or deaths, and no politics. Just you, your takes, and sports.”
She isn’t just Novig’s lead actress, she’s also been named as their strategic partner and equity holder.
Of course, there were some major Sweeney fans who loved every moment of the campaign. But other social media users found it a bit cringe and inappropriate.
One person commented, “This is sad at this point. Can’t sell or be a normal girl if she doesn’t use her body as a tool. Sexualizing sports like this is crazy.”
“Why is no one understanding how disgusting this is…” said another.
“By far the worst commercial i have ever seen,” wrote a third.
But as for Novig, they stand by their ad even if it ruffles feathers.
Jacob Fortinsky, CEO and co-founder of Novig, said, “There are many places where people can engage with prediction markets across different categories. Our focus is sports, and by dedicating ourselves entirely to sports, we have built a better experience for fans.”
Praising Sweeney, he added, “Sydney helped bring that message to life in a way that’s impossible to ignore.”
Sweeney’s been a hot topic this month, and this wasn’t the first time she’s been mentioned.
On Sept. 1, political commentator Brian Krassenstein reshared a 2024 clip of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy making an uncomfortable comment about Sweeney while sitting next to his wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy.
During the March 2024 From the Kitchen Table segment with Fox Nation, Duffy said, “Sydney Sweeney’s boobs make us want to reproduce. Right? Sydney Sweeney’s boobs are going to save America.”
Many online users though Duffy’s comments were highly inappropriate like one person who said, “Sean Duffy and his wife Rachel enjoy talking about Sydney Sweeney and her breasts; she’s 28. Duffy’s oldest daughter is 26.”
Sweeney herself hasn’t responded to Duffy.
