A new source of tension has reportedly emerged behind the scenes on The Block.
House 5 contestant Tayla, 32, is alleged to have regularly invited guests back to the property, with some of her co-stars reportedly becoming frustrated by the late-night visitors.
While guests are not specifically forbidden during filming, sources claim Tayla’s social life became a talking point among the cast, with some contestants reportedly preferring to use the accommodation as a place to rest after long workdays.
‘Tayla is social, outgoing and likes to enjoy herself, but not everyone enjoyed it as much as she did,’ an insider told New Idea magazine.
‘Other contestants occasionally had family members or close friends visit, but generally speaking, they kept to themselves as they were keen to rest after a hard day’s work.’
The source claims the situation became particularly difficult when visitors arrived late or the noise continued into the night, leaving some contestants tired ahead of another demanding day on site.

‘It started to feel like a genuine share house. People were being kept awake, wondering who had been invited over and quietly complaining to one another the next day,’ the insider added.
However, the source claims Tayla herself was unaware that some of her co-stars were unhappy.
‘Tayla was not aware that others in the house were not on board,’ they added.
‘She was having fun and living her life, but the others felt that there needed to be some boundaries.’
The alleged tension also put Tayla’s father and teammate Rick, 63, in an awkward position, with the source claiming he was uncomfortable with some of the attention surrounding his daughter.
Despite the reported frustration, Tayla’s fellow Blockheads are said to have avoided confronting her directly, instead choosing not to create another source of conflict during the already intense renovation competition.
The alleged accommodation drama is not the only controversy surrounding Tayla this season, with the House 5 contestant also facing scrutiny over her approach to the competition.
She is reportedly set to cause further shockwaves on site with a series of bold decisions made while her father is away.
