When Apple scion Eve Jobs married Olympic showjumper Harry Charles in an extravagant Cotswolds ceremony last year, it seemed to be the stuff of dreams.
The three-day, £5 million wedding took over a 107-room manor house and was attended by Princess Beatrice, former US vice-president Kamala Harris and Sir Elton John, who serenaded the couple with a private performance.
But I can reveal the big day was tarnished by fears of a stalker who had been targeting the 28-year-old daughter of the late Apple tycoon Steve Jobs – leaving her feeling ‘unsafe’ and not wanting to ‘go anywhere alone.’
In a victim statement, Eve said the situation was ‘scary and upsetting’ as no one knew what her stalker, Ajan Purna-Spedding, would do next.
The 34-year-old appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court in July charged with stalking without fear, alarm or distress after he called and sent flowers and cards to Ms Jobs in the year leading up to her wedding.
He was handed a restraining order, given a community order and fines, including having to pay £650 for the full cost of the trial. But I can reveal Purna-Spedding has lodged an appeal against his conviction, although a hearing date has not yet been confirmed.
In her victim statement, Eve detailed how her team had increased her security for her July 2025 wedding, adding that the journey to and from St Michael and All Angels Church was particularly worrying. A security detail, already at the celebrations because of the high-profile guests, was also told about the stalker.
In brighter news, Harry won bronze at the showjumping world championships at Aachen last month, on a horse Eve gave him.

When Em fell victim to theft
Even before Game Of Thrones, Emilia Clarke, 39 had a taste for the finer things – so much so that she became the target of a burglary.
A flatmate who lived with the star, pre-fame, says: ‘Once we got robbed. We went into her bedroom and loads of her nice expensive stuff had been taken.’ The flatmate’s belongings were untouched… but ‘they used my plastic bags to carry out her stuff!’
It’s Ever so awkward…
Actress Ever Anderson was back on the red carpet for the action thriller Father Joe, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival last night.
The 18-year-old has showbiz in her blood: her father is Resident Evil director Paul W.S. Anderson and her mother is actress Milla Jovovich.
But there’s an awkward twist to her new film, as it was written and produced by her mother’s ex, Luc Besson.
The pair met and married in 1997, when she was 21, and divorced two years later.

Jo’s a blunt talking girl…
I can’t wait to see the interaction between Joanne McNally and James Blunt on Celebrity Traitors – as I fear the Irish comedian has already put her foot in it.
Joanne said of the singer’s lavish lifestyle: ‘All that from You’re Beautiful?’, referring to his big hit. ‘No, I’ve been doing arenas for 20 years’, came the curt reply.
She’s eclectic
In his youth, Oasis star Noel Gallagher partied like a mad thing, smashing up hotel rooms and arguing with his brother.
But his glamorous daughter, Anais, does not seem to have taken after him, if her latest Instagram post is anything to go by.
The 26-year-old visited Disneyland Paris, kitted herself out in Mickey Mouse ears and declared herself: ‘Forever a Mickey girl. Forever a Disney adult.’
Not a chip off the old block, then.
A leg for Anne!
Princess Anne has always been the hardiest of royals – and now I can reveal that starts first thing in the morning.
Event rider Rachael Faulkner told the Talk Horse podcast that she once found herself having breakfast with the Princess Royal, now 76, when doing a horse-riding internship at Gatcombe Park.
Faulkner, 57, let slip that Princess Anne came into the kitchen, went to the fridge and ‘got out a leg of lamb from the night before and just started eating it!’ Not one for muesli then, Your Highness?
