UPDATED: Shane Gillis‘ Tires will return for a fourth season on Netflix. The new installment of the single-camera comedy is believed to have been unofficially picked up as part of the streamer’s overall deal with Gillis and fellow Tires co-creator John McKeever announced in January. It has now been officially greenlighted.
As Deadline reported last week, the current third season of Tires earned its highest-ever ranking on the Global Top 10 English TV list, reaching #5 the week of August 17, 2026, the season’s first full week following its Aug. 13 release.
Tires had been an enticing business proposition from the start — it originated as an independently financed first season made at a very reasonable cost, which Netflix acquired. The series has kept its modest budget framework, which is important at Netflix where renewals decisions are made largely on a cost vs. performance basis.
For instance, the starring vehicle of another top comedian, Will Farrell’s Hawk, is said to cost three times as much as Tires. With a so-so viewership, the future of the golf comedy, which premiered July 16, is in limbo.
Since its 2024 debut, Tires seasons 1-3 have amassed more than 45M views with the fandom growing year over year. Additionally, the standup special Shane Gillis: Beautiful Dogs has had nearly 30M views since its release in 2023.
As part of the overall deal with Netflix, Gillis also is set to film two new stand-up specials.

Co-created by Gillis and Steve Gerben, who star, and McKeever, who directs, Tires has filmed all three seasons in the Pennsylvania region.
“It’s cool to get to make another season of Tires,” Gillis said.
Added McKeever: “I love this show and everyone who works on it. Excited to make more.”
In Tires, Will (Steve Gerben), the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Gillis).
In Season 3, while settling in as part owners, Will and Shane struggle to keep Valley Forge afloat. Just as their business and friendship hit a breaking point, Will and Shane look to their past to figure out the future.
Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias and Thomas Hayden Church also star.
Executive producing the series are Gillis, Gerben and McKeever alongside Brandon James for Rough House; Brian Stern and Kenneth Slotnick for AGI Entertainment Media & Management; and Becky Astphan.

Offscreen, Gillis’ Lincoln Financial Field show last month set two Guinness World Records — most tickets sold for a comedy show for a solo comedian (77,047) and largest-ever audience for a solo comedian (73,946) — with surprise appearances from Dave Chappelle, Meek Mill, and Jason Kelce.
