Dolly Parton‘s nephew revealed that the legendary country singer asked him to record a video announcing her death years before the confirmation of her passing on Tuesday.Â
‘This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago before I fully absorbed it as a future reality,’ Bryan Seaver said in a video on X.
‘I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven’t truly felt it until now. It is an honor that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness,’ he said.Â
Parton had been open about a series of health challenges she faced after the death of her husband Carl Thomas Dean in 2025.
She shared her final health update on Friday, just days after canceling her Dollywood event. Tributes have poured in for the iconic country star after her death was announced.
