Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell has split from the boyfriend who helped support her through her heartbreaking soap axe.

Daisy, 23, who played Amelia Spencer for 13 years before being written out in 2024, began dating Nick that same year, with the two having initially met years earlier at school.

However, it’s now been confirmed that the pair have parted ways, with it said that single Daisy has ‘never been happier’.

A source told The Sun: ‘Daisy split from her boyfriend Nick earlier this year. She’s been incredibly busy with her studio and they just grew apart.’

They went on to add that while there’s no ill will against Nick, Daisy is thoroughly enjoying singledom, having a great time with friends and working hard on her business.

The source added: ‘She has never been happier – she has a big group of friends, is working super hard and just doesn’t even have time for a man.

‘Nick helped her after she was axed from Emmerdale and while setting up the studio and he was very supportive, so there is no bad blood.’

The Daily Mail has contacted Daisy’s representatives for comment.

Viewers best know Daisy for her long-running role as Amelia on Emmerdale after joining in 2011 when she was just seven years old.

She first joined the ITV soap back in 2011, aged just seven years old at the time.

Speaking last year, Daisy said she ‘sacrificed’ many parts of her childhood for the ITV show, before being brutally axed in 2024 after 13 years.

The actress featured in many high-profile storylines over the years, including a shock pregnancy and relationship with villain Tom King.

Despite insisting her time on the show was ‘such a privilege’ Daisy confessed: ‘I feel like I did miss out a lot during my childhood with friends and stuff. I used to want to stay at school with my friends rather than be on set.

Daisy explained that her character was written out when a new producer took charge with the decision leaving the actress ‘upset’ and in a ‘dark hole.’

‘When it’s been ripped away from you, because that’s what it genuinely felt like, it was so out of the blue, you do just get into a bit of a hole of, oh god, like, can I do this?’

Daisy said that despite a brief appearance in Casualty she has struggled to find work, before finally turning her back on acting to open a Pilates studio.

She told The Sun: ‘I found it hard, I love my acting, I do, but I wanted something stable for myself, because I’m so, like, wanting to keep myself busy all the time. I was like “What can I do that’s gonna make me not just want to sit at home all the time?”‘

Daisy will use her Emmerdale earnings to open That Pilates Place in Pontefract, and while she has not ruled out a return to acting she said her business was now her main focus.

Last year Daisy revealed that bosses admitted that they had run out of storylines for her, after her character’s parents previously left the dales leaving her all alone.

She admitted she had been struggling filming her final scenes after ITV bosses called her in to tell her about her exit.

She told The Mirror: ‘It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first.

‘Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I’ve spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting.’

After finding out about her exit, Daisy revealed to the publication that she only told three of her closest friends and co-stars.

She explained how co-stars Rosie Bentham, Katie Hill and Jack Downham were left utterly devastated by the news but had been supporting her behind the scenes.

Daisy said: ‘They were upset for me but so supportive. I didn’t tell the rest of the cast my news initially as I wanted the time to process everything.

‘I needed time to grieve the part of Amelia.’
