Love Island winners Julia Majchrzak and Lorenzo Alessi battled through yet another awkward interview, as she accused him of ’embarrassing her’ by liking other women’s Instagram posts.
The couple scooped up the £50,000 prize during the show’s live final in Mallorca last week. But since landing back in the UK they have only been on one date, and had a car crash interview on This Morning amid fears they’ve already split.
And on Tuesday they headed to Capital XTRA for a chat where they were asked about Lorenzo liking photos posted by female models on Instagram.
Julia then raged: ‘Guys, this is not funny. He’s already embarrassed me online… He had no time to arrange a date in five days, but was sat in bed liking other girls’ Instagram pictures.’
Lorenzo then tried to explain himself by saying: ‘This is the thing. I feel like why I didn’t want to rush things in the villa…
‘We’re not running around getting married tomorrow. I’m learning how to be in a committed relationship, and I’m learning what is acceptable and what is not.’

He continued: ‘To be 100 per cent honest, it was pure naivety. I did not think it would be picked up by the press… These are now real-world things that we can experience together.’
Julia then took out her phone to see if Lorenzo had liked her own Instagram pictures – but he had not.
She then said: ‘Did you even have time to like my photos? Guess what guys, he’s not under my Instagram!’
Lorenzo laughed off the moment saying her posts hadn’t come up on his feed yet.
It comes after their awkward This Morning interview earlier this week, which was the first time they had been seen together since landing in the UK from Mallorca.
Josie Gibson asked a squirming Lorenzo: ‘Now there’s a lot of rumours that you’re not together… Are you together? And what is this terminology?’
As Julia sat stony-faced beside him, Lorenzo then replied: ‘As we’ve left the villa, we’re still in the same place – exclusively dating.’
To which Julia cut in: ‘Yes, we are still dating.’
Lorenzo said it’s been a ‘crazy few days’ since the final and that he believes ‘everything needs to settle down’ and then ‘we’re going to go on some lovely dates’.

And fans aren’t convinced they actually are together, as they penned on X: ‘He basically used her to get to the final…’

Julia then bluntly replied: ‘Where’s the date?’
Josie then asked whether the couple had said the ‘L–word’ yet, to which Lorenzo replied: ‘No but it’s going that way.’
‘Feelings are developing, it’s in the right position… so I feel like give it some time…’
The clothing business owner then said he planned to take Julia to a rooftop bar for their first date.
She responded: ‘When?’ and later on said yet again: ‘When’s my date?’ before awkwardly asking him: ‘When was the last time we saw each other?’
Lorenzo then said the date had ‘a lot of planning involved’.
They did that evening go for dinner together and posted to their socials but that appears to be the only date they have been on since leaving the villa.
And fans aren’t convinced they actually are together, as they penned on X: ‘He basically used her to get to the final with ZERO consideration for the fact he was playing with Julia’s feelings to achieve it.,’
‘I’ve never seen a winning couple look the most unconvincing among the finalists and so unconvincing about their own connection or win.’
Last week Love Island fans shared their concerns that they had already split after he was spotted ‘liking’ girls’ Instagrams.
They revealed towards the end of the series that they were ‘exclusively dating’ and no longer interested in anyone else in or out of the ITV2 villa.
However, some viewers of the show thought it wasn’t appropriate for Lorenzo, 28, to be showing interest in other women by liking a series of models snaps.
Some even took it as evidence that Lorenzo and Julia have decided to go their separate ways.
Sharing their thoughts online fans wrote on X: ‘Is there a Love Island winners curse? Because they haven’t Lorenzo and Julia posted each other.’
Another person referenced the fact that All Stars winners Samie Elishi and Ciaran Davies broke up after this year’s season, writing: ‘Not even a week this is worse than Scamie and Ciaran.’
Sharing a selection of the photos Lorenzo had liked, another said: ‘So how many more days til Julie & Lorenzo post black screens on their Instagram Stories’.
Others wrote: ‘I’m really disappointed Lorenzo damn man u have a girl but you can’t keep ur hands off liking other womans pics on insta, ur so bad wtf! Our Yulia deserves better’; ‘How can their be a rough patch they weren’t even a ‘couple’. Scamology 101 and y’all fell for it.’
‘It doesn’t matter whether Lorenzo knows we see his likes. Or whether he doesn’t think it’s a big deal. It’s not about him. All that matters is Julia. If she’s okay with it.
