The Block 2026 is just a few weeks away from its August 2 premiere and the excitement is already spreading, with one couple revealed to be pregnant.
Lisa and Rosco, a young married couple from Perth, discovered they were expecting a baby together within the first few weeks of filming in Mount Eliza.
The happy pair, who will welcome their second child in October, revealed the news during a lunch Q&A at Crittenden Wines on Thursday for The Block launch event.
‘We had a little inkling when we arrived in Melbourne, but actually found out from the doctor at week one and a half,’ Lisa, 34, told hosts Shelley Craft and Scott Cam.
‘We were seven weeks along. It was nothing like my first pregnancy. My first pregnancy, I knew I was pregnant. This one just kind of slipped on in there.’
Shelley, 50, then asked the paramedic if she would return to compete on The Block again when she’s not pregnant.

‘Coming back again not pregnant would be a hugely different experience. I would definitely have a lot more prosecco on board,’ she said.
Lisa then joked that her husband Rosco, 38, tried to use her pregnancy as an excuse to get them more building time on The Block one week.
‘[Rosco] literally said I was handicapped, so he should get more time [for the build]. Don’t know how that’s going to go down with the ladies,’ she joked.
‘You had to be there!’ Rosco, a FIFO worker, shouted to raucous laughter.
Following the lunch, Lisa and Rosco had an exclusive chat with Daily Mail where they revealed what long-time host Scott, 63, was really like off camera.
‘He is such a family man. He is a softie,’ Lisa said.
‘I think what you see is what you get. He’s such a straight shooter. He’s caring. He cares about the outcome, he cares about each and every one of you,’ Rosco added.
Lisa added: ‘I think what we were the most impressed with was how supportive they [Scott and Channel Nine] were of our journey with our son.

‘We were away from him for a long time and that was quite hard. The amount of support we got from them… they flew him over, they put him up.
‘They flew his grandparents over. They were a family.’
Rosco agreed, going on to say that Scott, who has been hosting The Block for 20 years, would often comfort Lisa with ‘a hug’ when she was having a bad day.
‘He’s the heart of The Block,’ Lisa said.
