Two Married At First Sight stars have raced to the rescue of another reality TV couple.
Jules Robinson and her husband Cameron Merchant, who met on season six of MAFS in 2019, stayed at the luxurious holiday home owned by Bachelor pair, Matty ‘J’ Johnson and Laura Byrne.
Matty and Laura recently admitted that their renovated coastal haven, called Chante Mer and located at Racecourse Beach on the NSW South Coast, has turned into a financial nightmare.
The glamorous Bachelor couple have sensationally revealed their stunning ‘Chante Mer’ retreat near Ulladulla has become a ‘mountain of debt’, forcing them to rent it out just to stay afloat.
Enter Jules and Cam, who took to Instagram to spruik their stay at the property this weekend.
In a series of photos shared on social media, the pair were joined by their children as they relaxed at the beachside home.

In what was an apparent endorsement for the property, the married couple shared several images inside the house, as well as the nearby vistas and views it offers.
‘The most wonderful little escape down south,’ their caption on Instagram read.
‘A 3.5-hour drive to a place that had everything: beach days, wine nights, homemade cookies, fireplace chats, family memories… and of course, a few toddler/kid meltdowns to keep us humble,’ they continued.
‘Thanks for the perfect reset Chante Mer, we loved staying with you.’
What began as a spontaneous, love-at-first-sight purchase for $2.19million quickly spiralled into an eye-watering budget blowout for Matty and Laura.
Speaking candidly on Home Beautiful’s The Edit podcast recently, Matty J admitted the renovation ran wildly out of control.
‘We thought we were just going to, you know, make it watertight and put a lick of paint on, and we got sucked into the renovation and made it a lot bigger than we originally planned,’ he explained.
‘We were like, we need help paying off this mortgage! So, we decided we would start renting it out.

‘We are in a mountain of debt, and we will be paying off this house for a very, very, very long time.’
‘Chante Mer’ is currently listed on Airbnb with nightly rates ranging from a staggering $740 to $1,600, with a minimum three-night stay.
Bargain hunters might snag a winter deal for approximately $739 per week, but come summer, the luxe retreat commands top dollar.
The reality television stars currently live in a four-bedroom semi in North Bondi, which they purchased for $5.2million in 2023.
They also boast a stunning $1.8million holiday home in Bangalow, near Byron Bay.
There was not a lot of sympathy for the couple, who met on season five of The Bachelor in 2017.
‘Why are we feeling sorry for them? They own three homes,’ wrote one person online.
Another said: ‘Boo Hoo. Why the hell would hard working Australians who are desperately trying to hold onto their RESIDING PROPERTY care about this untalented duo’s holiday over indulgence??’

‘We’re supposed to feel sorry for them, that they have to rent out their third home, for $740-$1600 per visit?’ someone else said.
Another commented: ‘Whatever go live at one of your other two houses.’
Someone else said: ‘Cry me a river, get a grip! They have no idea how people are struggling.’
After getting engaged in Fiji in April 2018, Laura and Matty finally tied the knot on the south coast in November 2022, five years after meeting on The Bachelor.
They are one of the most successful couples to come out of the show, having welcomed their daughter Marlie-Mae in 2019, followed by Lola in February 2021 and Poppy in September 2025.
