Jeremy Clarkson Reveals That His Cancer Is In Remission

Jeremy Clarkson has declared himself the “world’s luckiest man” after he survived two major health scares during filming on Season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm.

The former Top Gear presenter underwent a heart procedure in the first episode of the Amazon Prime Video series, while Season 5 concluded on the bombshell of his cancer diagnosis.

Clarkson revealed to his Diddly Squat colleagues, Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper, that he had contracted an “aggressive” cancer. He did not reveal the location of the disease, but has now confirmed it was prostate cancer.

That was May 2025. More than a year on, Clarkson has now shared that his cancer is in remission after he underwent ultrasound treatment.

In an interview with The Sunday Times newspaper, the presenter said his treatment was not without complications, which included having a catheter and then a later incident in which he took blood-thinning drugs for his heart when he should not have done.

He hinted at this in the final episode of Clarkson’s Farm Season 5. Lying in a hospital bed, he said: “Some of the treatment has gone awry, let’s say. I’m going to be here for a little while … I don’t know what’s going to happen. If this is all successful, I’ll see you for season 6. And if it isn’t, I won’t.”

Clarkson did not go into detail about what occurred, but told The Sunday Times it was “horrific and it was all my own fault.” He added: “It was quite spectacularly painful. It was beyond Defcon 1 on the pain scale.”

The ex-Grand Tour host said he did a prostate test two months ago, which revealed no indication of cancer, and now he is officially in remission. He must have regular blood tests to monitor his situation.

Clarkson urged men to get tested. “If there’s just one person, a single person in the world, who watches Clarkson’s Farm and thinks, you know what, I’m gonna get myself checked, and discovers it early, and it’s treated, and they lead a normal life, then it’s worth being an illness bore,” he said.
