Billy Crystal’s new one-man show 860, directed by Scott Ellis (Fallen Angels, Art), will begin a limited 14-week Broadway engagement at the Imperial Theatre on Thursday, October 1, officially open on Wednesday, October 21, and run through Sunday, January 3, 2027.
The complete creative team for the previously announced production will be announced in the coming weeks.
Producers Janice Crystal, James L. Nederlander, Larry Magid, and Face Productions made the date-and-venue announcement today.
The 860 synopsis: “In the aftermath of the Palisades fires which took his home, Billy reflects on his family and his career – the memories and moments that mattered the most, and how the power of laughter can overcome the most difficult of times.” The title refers to the street number of Crystal’s home that was destroyed in the fire.
Crystal, who appeared on the June 7 Tony Awards telecast to present the Best Play Revival Award to Death of a Salesman, made his Broadway debut in 2004 with the original production of his one-man show 700 Sundays, for which he won a Tony Award. The Broadway production was taped in front of a live audience for an HBO special that aired in April of 2014, and in 2022, Crystal returned to Broadway with Mr. Saturday Night, a musical adaptation of his 1992 film of the same name.
