With Season 2 of Off Campus in production, Prime Video and the team behind the show have released a statement on the official X, formerly known as Twitter, account warning against the negative behavior of certain fan accounts.
“The Off Campus community is built on a shared love of storytelling — and on respect for the real people who bring it to life,” the notice reads. “We ask that everyone in this space extend that respect to our cast and the people in their lives. Accounts that engage in targeted harassment will be removed from following our accounts.”
The first season of Prime Video’s television adaptation based on Elle Kennedy’s best-selling book series arrived on the streamer May 13 and quickly took off in viewership and across social media thanks to the wide readership fanbase. The first season netted 36 million viewers worldwide in its first 12 days of release, and Prime Video served it a Season 2 renewal before the first season had premiered.
The first season follows the fake dating relationship between musician Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) and Captain of Briar University’s hockey team, Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli). What starts out as a ploy to get the attention of Hannah’s crush Justin Kohl (Josh Heuston) turns into reel feelings between the singer songwriter and the hockey athlete.
Season 2 will focus on the romance of Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn) and Hannah’s roommate and best friend Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla). Dean is a defenseman on the hockey team, and he lives with Garrett. The book series and show follow four teammates as they navigate college, coming of age and love in different ways.

India Fowler has been cast as Grace Ivers, John Logan’s (Antonio Cipriano) love interest from Elle Kennedy’s second book The Mistake, to appear in Season 2, as has Phillipa Soo who will portray Scarlett, a theatre artist likely to have a hand in Allie’s story because Allie is a theatre student hoping to make it big on Broadway or in Hollywood.
The second season of Off Campus began production earlier this month. Similar warnings on social media have been issued for another of Prime Video’s most popular shows, The Summer I Turned Pretty, which received statements on both social media behavior and one requesting respect and privacy for the set of the movie, which began filming in April.
