After logging three years on General Hospital as Kristina Corinthos-Davis, Kate Mansi is leaving the ABC sudser.

The news was first reported by soap opera reporter Stephanie Sloane, and reposted by Mansi to her Instagram Story.

“I’ve made the very difficult decision to leave General Hospital,” Mansi told Sloane. “I have a few new projects that require my full attention and with my husband [Matt McInnis] currently producing a series filming primarily abroad, I needed the flexibility to travel while continuing to develop and work in Los Angeles.”

Mansi joined GH and entered the fore of Port Charles in May 2023, taking over from Lexi Ainsworth, who was in the role off-and-on since 2009. Previously, the actress was best known for portraying Abigail Deveraux on NBC/Peacock’s Days of Our Lives from 2011 to 2016, winning a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress the following year. She returned to the part in 2018, last appearing in May 2020.

Additionally, Mansi has been twice Daytime Emmy nominated in 2019 and 2025, the latter for her GH role. Throughout her tenure on GH, she also stepped behind the camera a couple of times as director.

Executive Producer Frank Valentini added, “We love Kate and support her decision to leave. The door is always open, and we appreciate all that she added to the show these past three years.”

“I’m incredibly grateful to Frank, ABC, and our writers for the care they gave Kristina,” Mansi continued. “It’s been such a meaningful and unforgettable ride. I’ve loved being a fiery Corinthos-Davis girl in such a phenomenal family.”

“When Frank first approached me about the role, two things deeply resonated with me: the opportunity to show my support for the queer community by playing an LGBTQ+ character, and to help tell an endometriosis storyline,” she concluded. “Together, I truly feel we honored both of those stories in a way that mattered. And the fact that I got to direct was simply the icing on the cake! Now, it feels like the right time for both Kristina and me to step into new adventures.”

Mansi, who filmed her final episode in April, will last feature on GH sometime in June.

Outside of the soap world, Mansi’s credits include an episode of How I Met Your Mother and Amazon Freevee’s Casa Grande limited series.
