It’s supposed to be the happiest day of her life.

Yet Venezuela Fury has an ominous cloud hanging over her wedding on Saturday after her grandfather John sparked a bitter family fallout.

Known for his outspoken nature, John hasn’t held back in recent months with his remarks about his family members, which will no doubt cause some awkward moments when Venezuela, 16, ties the knot with Noah Price, 19.

Indeed, John, 60, doesn’t even think Venezuela should be walking down the aisle at all, having previously confessed that he didn’t think she was ‘mature enough’ to date, let alone get married.

During an appearance on At Home With The Furys, John made his feelings clear during a chat with sons Tyson, 37, and Tommy, 27, after Tyson called Noah a ‘decent fella’.

Expressing his shock that Venezuela was dating, John remarked: ‘They’re children! I don’t think she’s mature enough for anything like – she’s still a baby.’

As Tyson argued: ‘I know, but she’s 16 in a minute,’ John countered: ‘On my watch a 15-year-old should never have a boyfriend, never.’

Unsurprisingly, Tyson wasn’t as fazed by his daughter’s young age, given he was 18 and his wife Paris was 17 when he proposed to her.

Paris, 36, has also defended her daughter’s age, saying on This Morning: ‘Venezuela is so mature for her years. She’s done so much in such a short time just because of who she is and the fact that she’s got six younger brothers and sisters that she’s helped bring up, I can’t deny it…

‘I can’t deny her because I was 17 when I got engaged. She’s obviously following in my footsteps, so how can I judge her in any way.

‘I know she’s young. But I think she’s found the person she loves and if she’s happy, I will completely support her.’

John has also ruffled feathers with his comments about Tyson after they fell out over Tyson’s decision to return to boxing.

After the Gypsy King ended his 16-month retirement to take on Arslanbek Makhmudov, John said in an interview with Playbook Boxing: ‘My relationship with Tyson is destroyed. Boxing destroyed it completely.

‘I’ll say it on camera: I’ve never taken £10 off him in my life and I never will. I don’t want Tyson’s money and I don’t need Tyson’s money.

‘Whatever he’s got, good luck to him. But, don’t forget who built his story when he was a kid. He didn’t build it himself, did he? Me, his father.

‘I was 30 seconds away from asking for a break there. I haven’t really expressed these emotions before but they’re strong and they’re there.

‘I think he’s past his best. I’m a no-filter kind of guy – I say it how I see it. I love him, but there are too many people patting him on the back and telling him things that aren’t true, building him up like he’s invincible. He’s not and he hasn’t been for a while.’

Following his father’s remarks, Tyson told The Sun: ‘I’m unaware of what has happened but he’s entitled to his opinion. And I’m sure he’ll change it a million times over and over again.

‘I haven’t really paid him any attention to it because I take it with a pinch of salt.

‘He might have been upset, he might have been a bit down or have been depressed. I don’t know what he was going through, whatever.’

Tommy also waded into the row when he echoed John’s sentiments in an interview with Bloody Elbow, revealing that nobody in the boxing clan wants to see Tyson fight again.

‘I think if you asked any one of his family do we want to see him keeping boxing the answer would have been an all around “no”,’ he shared.

‘That’s all the way around the board because we care about his health.

‘Obviously you guys are fight fans, you love to see him in the ring because he brings that entertainment. But we think of his health and everything like that.

‘So listen, he’s decided to keep fighting, it’s Tyson who is a fighting man who loves to do so. But I guess time will tell and I think he definitely still has it in him because he wouldn’t be getting in that ring if he knew he didn’t.’

Should parents step in when their teenagers decide to marry, or trust them to make their own choices?

After asking Tyson for his daughter's hand in marriage, amateur boxer Noah crashed Venezuela's 16th birthday party to propose after just a year of dating

After asking Tyson for his daughter’s hand in marriage, amateur boxer Noah crashed Venezuela’s 16th birthday party to propose after just a year of dating

Amid the family tensions, Venezuela will be hoping her father and grandfather can put their differences aside for the sake of her big day.

Venezuela and Noah kept their romance under wraps, before going Instagram official just months before their proposal.

After asking Tyson for his daughter’s hand in marriage, amateur boxer Noah crashed Venezuela’s 16th birthday party to propose after just a year of dating.

Tyson and Paris’s eldest daughter was over the moon after Noah got down on one knee in front of all her friends and family, just minutes after he had sat down with the boxer to ask for his permission in taking his daughter’s hand in marriage.

But it turns out the proposal wasn’t a shock for her parents, as Venezuela had already told them that Noah would be coming round to ask for Tyson’s approval.

At first Tyson didn’t seem so sure about the proposal as he asked: ‘How can I let a stranger take away my baby?’ making sure she was aware of the gravity of marriage.

‘Are you joking? He’s gonna come ask me to marry me daughter?’ exclaimed Tyson as Venezuela broke the news to him.

He went on to explain: ‘Marriage is forever, the way we do it, so when you go in that church and say “I do” no piece of paper or government can undo you, as what God puts together can never been undone.

‘So it’s a lifetime commitment and however old you are, 16-year-old, are you ready for a lifetime commitment to somebody you barely know?’

‘You know that for 100 percent fact? Then fair play because I knew as soon as I saw your mother.

‘If you can get a sensible lad which he is, what more could you want.’
