(KTLA) – January is finally coming to an end, and to celebrate people beating the “winter gloom,” 7-Eleven is giving away free Slurpees on Friday.
Each customer can get only one free small Slurpee while supplies last. The deal is valid at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes locations nationwide.
The convenience store chain typically gives out free Slurpees in July in honor of Slurpee Day, but in a news release, 7-Eleven officials said they hope the icy treat will lift people’s moods regardless of the date or the weather.
“We know that every year, the long days of January can feel like the month will never come to an end — and this year has been no different,” Dennis Phelps, 7-Eleven’s SVP of merchandising, said in a statement, adding the chain hopes to “shift your vibe for the rest of the year.”
The free Slurpee deal will only last for one day.
