The home of a star member of the Los Angeles Football Club, who signed with the squad less than a year ago, was reportedly burglarized, with thieves making off with some $500,000 worth of jewelry, TMZ reported.
The alleged break-in happened Feb. 5 and was reported to police by the 38-year-old Frenchman’s wife, after she discovered a smashed window at the couple’s home.
TMZ Sports reports that she told police the missing jewelry, which included more than 10 men’s watches, was worth a half-million dollars.

So far, no arrests have been made in the case, though detectives at the Los Angeles Police Department told the tabloid outlet that they are still investigating.
Giroud, formerly with AC Milan, has won 11 major trophies and scored nearly 300 goals in some 700 club appearances over his 18-year career in professional soccer.
On LAFC’s website, the 38-year-old is described as “one of the greatest goal-scorers of his generation.”
He first debuted on Los Angeles’ Major League Soccer club in August 2024.
