A young child was killed when a motorist drove into a building in the Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw neighborhood of Los Angeles late Tuesday night.
Police responded to the crash in the area of Crenshaw Boulevard and Rodeo Place around 11 p.m.
Video showed a white four-door vehicle had struck the corner of the building head-on.
A 5-year-old child was located at the scene and pronounced dead, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed.
A female who was driving the vehicle was transported with a leg injury, the spokesperson said.
It was unclear what caused the vehicle to veer off the road or if anyone else was involved.
