LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – Four juveniles were arrested after reportedly going on a violent crime spree that left one person with serious injuries, authorities announced Thursday.

In a news release, officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said that in a three-day stretch, from Jan. 16-19, three carjackings were reported in the city of Lancaster.

The violent encounters occurred in the 2300 block of Lancaster Boulevard, the 2000 block of East Avenue J and the 800 block of East Avenue J.

“The victims were brutally attacked and had their vehicles stolen by a group of what appeared to be juvenile males,” sheriff’s officials said. “One of the victims sustained severe trauma from the attack.”

Team members on the sheriff’s department’s Lancaster Community Appreciation Program began investigating the series of carjackings and were able to identify the four juvenile suspects, all of whom were between the ages of 14 and 17.

On Jan. 30, deputies arrested all four of the teens and booked them for carjacking and attempted murder, officials said.

An investigation into the incidents remains ongoing and authorities are urging anyone with information about the case or anyone who might have witnessed one of the carjackings to contact LASD Det. Benjamin Casebolt at 661-948-8466.
