(NewsNation) — A Dallas high school is secure following a shooting incident Tuesday, according to the Dallas Independent School District.
The Dallas Fire Department said four people were injured during the incident, three of them between the ages of 15 and 18 and one of unknown age. One person was reported to be in serious condition.
All have been transported to area hospitals, police said.
A suspect has been identified but has not been arrested yet, and Gov. Greg Abbott is aware of the situation, police said.
Dallas police responded to a shooting call at a high school around 1 p.m. local time, according to the school district.
Within two minutes of the call, an officer responded to the scene, police said at a press conference.
Several emergency vehicles were reported in the area of Wilmer-Hutchins High School, with a heavy police presence and numerous ambulances.
Eagles Stadium was set up as a reunification point, and counselors were on site for those who needed them. Police confirmed that the reunification process has concluded.
School will not be in session for the rest of the week, police said.
