MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Officials said a family was relocated after their home caught fire in Rockville on Thursday morning.
Around 8:15 a.m., on March 27, the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a fire in the 10 block of Forest Landing Court.
There, firefighters found flames and smoke billowing from the window of a townhouse.
Officials said the family of five was out of the house when first responders arrived.
While searching the home, crews located the fire in the kitchen.
Officials said the blaze left three adults and two children displaced. However, they were relocated by the American Red Cross.
As of Thursday afternoon, investigators were still working to determine what caused the fire to start.
