Two teen suspects were arrested for allegedly robbing victims at gunpoint in San Bernardino County Friday.

Deputies from the Victorville station responded to a robbery at a business on the 15200 block of Hook Boulevard in Victorville at 3:13 p.m.

Three teenage boys had reportedly entered the business and held the victim at gunpoint. They took the victim’s cell phone before fleeing the scene.

A second victim reported they were also robbed at gunpoint at the intersection of Hook Boulevard and Arlette Drive by three male juveniles.

The descriptions of the trio matched the previous robbery report, deputies said. Authorities began searching the area and later spotted the suspects in a dirt field.

They attempted to flee, but deputies successfully captured two of them, identified only as a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy. A third suspect, however, managed to escape.

Deputies found a loaded Polymer-80 handgun with an extended magazine during the arrests.

The 15-year-old was arrested for:

  • Robbery
  • Criminal conspiracy
  • Assault with a deadly weapon
  • Criminal threats
  • Carrying a loaded firearm for which he was not the registered owner
  • Possession of a large capacity magazine
  • Carrying a concealed weapon

The 16-year-old was arrested for robbery, assault on a public official, and criminal conspiracy.

They were booked at the High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center in Apple Valley. No further details were released as the case remains under investigation.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call the Victorville station at 760-241-2911 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at 760-956-5001.
