One man was killed and another wounded on a busy Chinatown street Saturday evening, a block away from police heaquarters.
Police said the two were shot about 7:50 p.m., at Madison St. and St James Pl., with tall apartment buildings and restaurants surrounding the scene.
Both of the victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital, with one of the victims initially in critical condition from a gunshot to his neck, while the other victim was shot in the buttocks, police sources said.
