An 18-year-old suspect was arrested for allegedly fleeing the scene of a road rage crash in Orange County.
On June 18, the teen, Kaleb Patrick Hardisonhaper, 18, of Laguna Hills, was reportedly involved in a road rage incident with another driver, according to the Irvine Police Department.
It’s unclear how the incident began, but it resulted in the victim, who was driving a Honda CR-V, crashing their car into a light pole.
Police said the victim sustained only minor injuries despite the impact leaving heavy front-end damage to the vehicle.
After the crash, Hardisonhaper fled the scene. Police later spotted the teen’s car parked at the Irvine Spectrum Center mall.
The teen had decided to catch a film at the movie theater instead of reporting the crash, authorities said.
He was arrested and booked at the Orange County Jail for felony hit-and-run.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has photos or video of the crash to contact Detective Juarez at [email protected].
