WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — An investigation is underway after a teenage boy was shot in Southeast on Sunday afternoon, D.C. police said.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), officers responded to the 3300 block of 10th Place, SE, a short time before 1 p.m. for a reported shooting.
There, police said officers found the 16-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds.
Medics responded and took the teen, who was conscious and breathing, to the hospital for treatment.
As of 2 p.m., no suspect information is available.
